Well, today was the last day. Lots of business conducted. Lots of friendships renewed. Lots of wonderful uplifting worship these past few days. We had Opening Worship on Wednesday evening, morning worship every morning, a Memorial Service for those clergy or spouses of clergy or missionaries or conference employees who have passed away this year, Ordination Service in which one of our own was ordained and one who I went to Licensing School with was commissioned, and the Closing Service brought us two little ones who were baptized by the Bishop.
I was surprised and not surprised at the same time as it comes to what we spend a LOT of time discussing and what we should maybe spend a lot of time discussing but do not. Oh well. Such is humanity!
Looking forward to being home tomorrow. Am grateful that Annual Conference has been renewing and re-energizing.
