December

Here it is, two days before Christmas, and it just doesn't really seem like Christmas to me. I am sure it will feel like Christmas when the kids are all home, and we are going to service together and then back home to eat and open a gift.

I try to focus on the birth of Christ, this little one who would come to save the world. That's the blessing of Christmas. That God would live as one of us, would come to us in our hurts and disappointments and joys. Would want to feel all that we feel, experience all that we experience. That's the blessing. God loves us so much that Jesus would be born, both human and divine, to live among us, to be the shining example of all that God would have us be, and bring us the hope and peace for which we all long.

May this Season be calm, peaceful, hopeful and loving. May this Season bring a knowledge of God's love for all of us. May this Season bring us comfort when we are in need. May this Season bring us hope of God's showering of blessings. May Christmas be a blessed time!
