December, cont'd

The Wednesday before Christmas we had a service for those who would not be able to attend on Christmas Eve; then Christmas Eve we had noon, 5:30, 7:30 and 11:00 services. I went to the noon service, worked during the afternoon (well, actually, "worked" is too strong a word - we were having a blast), went to lunch with my fellow ministers in the faith, attended the 5:30 service, went home for a family get together, opened presents, and went back for the 11:00 service.

All the kids were home on Christmas Eve; just having a houseful of family is a blessing. This is a difficult time of year, and I never know how it'll be, but this year was a good Christmas. The kids helped to make the difference.

We spent Christmas Day with the extended family. We had a blast doing a white elephant exchange; first time to do this and really enjoyed it. But aI sure was dragging from Chrsitmas Eve. It took me two days to recover.

Merry Christmas everyone!
