What face do we put on?

The Women's Dakotas Walk to Emmaus #32 is finished. What a wonderful, Spirit-filled, renewing Walk this was. When the opportunity arises to attend such a Walk, take it! It may change your life.

Sitting toward the back of the conference room this year was quite a different experience. Able to be part of the Walk but not part of the Walk in as active a way as before.

Just when we think we know each other, another aspect of our lives is shared. I am constantly amazed at how well we put on one 'face' to share with the world, and what kinds of things are behind that 'face'. It is with humbleness and awe that I come to know God who loves all of us despite the 'faces' that we have. God is working all the time! It became even more evident to me at this Walk, as the variety of services allowed for deep sharing by so many women, the prayers that are continuously lifted during the Walk, and the ways in which others are instruments for God, others who did not have a specific responsibility at the Walk, who were not even at the Walk, but were instruments for God and God's work on those who were at the Walk.

It is my prayer that we continue the Walk with our Lord and Savior, sharing our experiences, learning the lessons we are to learn, and being encouraged and lifted by God's amazing love.
