Blessings on you and grace for today!
Have you wondered how you can witness for Christ? So often we fail to talk about our relationship with God because of fear: fear that we will appear foolish, fear that we will appear self-righteous, fear that we do not know enough, fear that we will not be able to answer others' questions.
Acts 4:13 reads: Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.
Did you catch it? The great apostles were uneducated and untrained. Yet it was through their actions that others came to see Jesus. We can do that too!
There's a story that Jeri Hill writes about: "When I was young, I was a rebellious teenager. As you know, teenagers in rebellion do a lot of things their parents don't want them to do. I remember, on one particular occasion, coming home at three o'clock in the morning. My mom was waiting for me. She was sitting on the sofa with her Bible on her knees when I came walking through the door. Do you know what she did? Rather than raise her voice in disgust at my behavior, she softly said, "Good night, honey." And then she went to bed. I remember the presence of Jesus emanating from her life. It was if she were saying, "Thank You, Jesus, for bringing my daughter home safely. She's home now. You have been with me while I waited. I have been in Your presence. I have been leaning on You." Without even knowing it, my momma had been speaking into my life by radiating her sweet, gentle spirit that came from being with Jesus."
Spend time with Jesus. Spend time in God's Word. It will be said of you as it was said of the disciples, "She has been with the Lord." Keep going after God!
