Beginning the Lenten Journey

The sign of the cross placed on my forehead with the ashes of last year's Palm branches. The words, "From Dust You Came, To Dust You Shall Return." I am humbled by this God who cares so much for me, a nothing, a nobody, nothing more than dust. Follow this act of the sign of whose I am with the gift of communion, "This is My Body, ..... This is My Blood". How is it that God who created me chooses to not only give me life, and life abundant, but chooses also to redeem my life, to offer an ongoing relationship, and does so at the cost of the Cross?
