Puerto Vallarta Sunset

Because South Dakota at this time of year is so cold and I am eager for Spring, here's a picture taken in Puerto Vallarta on one of our vacations.

Years ago, realizing just how short life can be, we made the conscious decision to go on a special vacation with the family every year. This decision became another blessing in our lives.

All inclusive vacations helped blend our two families together. When you can't get off the island, or you can't speak the language, one begins to bond with each other. This decision was one of God's blessings to our family.

Another blessing is that we now have memories that we cherish: Jessica (who died in 2002) climbing a Mayan temple in Chichen Itza, Mexico; the family jumping off a cliff into the clear blue waters in Xel-ha, one of Rivera Maya's most popular attractions; para-sailing in the Dominican Republic.

God's Creation is Awesome. I look at this picture of the sunset in Puerto Vallarta and am instantly transported to the warm breezes, the relaxed spirit, and to the reality that God is so much more than I can imagine.
