Sara (Director of Youth Ministriese at Asbury UMC) put me onto a book titled Becoming a Contagious Christian by Bill Hybels and Mark Mittelberg (ISBN 978-310-21008-5). The question is "Is your love for Jesus Christ contagious? It can be!" (Luis Palau)Great read. Exciting. Challenging. Thought-provoking.
Sharla (associate pastor at First UMC in Rapid City, SD/a 5th year Course of Study student) put me onto a book titled Leading from the Second Chair by Mike Bonem & Roger Patterson (ISBN 978-0-7879-7739-9). As I am led and grow in my faith, the insights gleaned from this book will be helpful as I serve in a "second chair" position of Minister of Care and Worship. 
I see from Sara's August Circuit Rider article, she's been reading a book called The Irresistible Revolution: Living as an Ordinary Radical by Shane Claiborne. She quoted from the book: "Don't let the world steal your soul. Being a Christian is about choosing Jesus and deciding to do something incredibly daring with your life." (2006, 18) I am eager to begin that book as well.
