It is good to be home, among my grandparents, sisters, brothers, cousins of the faith community. In the absence of an ordained pastor for Holy Communion last night, I had the chance to lead worship using a Love Feast. What a privilege to be present to God and to those who come to pray and worship together. It is good to be back home, even if only for a few days with Jason as he prepares to leave for Seattle. There will certainly be a void for a long time in the fabric of this community of faith but there will also be a stretching of our community as we go with him in spirit. Every time we have had an individual leave to take up the cross and follow Jesus in ministry we have been blessed. To send out and support individuals in ministry is an honor and a privilege, another opportunity in which to praise God for God's deep abiding faithfulness. May we continue what has been begun, may we continue to encourage our youth to grow in the Life of Christ, and may we continually be grateful for those servants God places within our midst!
