What a Friday evening!

We have a group planning to go to New Orleans to work in the rebuilding of the 9th Ward area, the hardest hit area of the city in both Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Last night was a fundraiser for that Trip, an opportunity for those missioners to be the presence of Christ to a devastated area of the country. What a wonderful evening, full of great food, great entertainment, great fellowship, great hospitality, great fun. Hard work? You bet! But working with a group whose mindset is on Christ and what will be accomplished through them, laughing and enjoying each other -- there are few words. Thank you God for the opportunity to come together to serve; thank you God for those who are willing to put aside individual pursuits to work toward a common goal, thank you God for the hard work and also the joy that comes in many hands working together, thank you God for tired feet and aching bodies but the outpouring of your Love.
