This past Sunday was so meaningful, so refreshing, so rejuvenating for me. Just as the spring time weather seems to have taken longer to come, so has this feeling of being unified in the Body of Christ. So the beauty of the sun shining and the bright yellow of the daffodils outside the church doors became symbolic of a refreshing start. The Creation Drama that was presented during worship combined with Holy Communion was a new start, a reminder of the depth of God's faithful love to us. The appreciation brunch for Sunday school and Bible study teachers was a reminder of the commitment we have made to nurture our children, youth and adults in Christ. The listening/discussion sessions was an affirmation that while we present diverse opinions, our desire to resolve our differences is also a priority.God continues to be with us, preparing the way; holding us in the palm of the hand while we struggle; and God sees for us a future fuller, more complete, more alive than we can possibly imagine. God continues to shower us with grace upon grace. Thanks be to God!
I don't know exactly what God has planned for us; but I do know that God plans only the very best. I don't know exactly how we are going to accomplish all that God would have us do, but I am certain that God will work right alongside us.
As spring has come and is a season of rebirth, I look forward eagerly to all that God challenges us, to all that God wants for us, to all that God will work in and through us.
